I love New York. The sights and sounds are always exciting to me. It doesn't scare me..I mean I don't go wandering around the projects or anything....but it really is a dynamic great place. As Maddie and I were planning to head down for our annual trip to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Dan piped up and said that he really wanted to go this year. One thing led to another and suddenly all 6 of us were going down for the day. It ended up being a great day. We hit all the girls favourites; American Girl Doll Store, ride on the ToysRUs ferris wheel, and Ellen's Stardust cafe. Then of course, heading to Radio City for the big show. There is something so great about a show that publicly and openly celebrates Christmas with a huge nativity scene at the end. They read the bible as scenes are dramatized. Camels cross the stage and carols play and a huge star illuminates the stage. It always makes me happy. I will miss this Christmas tradition if we ever move.
